MCCSDHH stands for
Midsouth Community Center Service for the Deaf and Hard
of Hearing of Memphis. We hope to buy a building for MCCSDHH.

MCCSDHH is a group of people in Mid-South of Memphis, Tennessee who are have a
dream to develop and operate a building and community center designed
for the needs of individuals who are:
- Deaf
- Hard of Hearing
- Deaf-blind
- Late Deafened
- Deaf-wheeler chair
- Deaf Autism
- Deaf-amputee
- Deaf Down's Syndrome
- And other reasons
MCCSDHH are both welcomes you to our MDC's page which will develop
and grow as we work hard to make our dream come true. We hope you visit
our site often to see how our planted dreams are nourished and grow
productive. Watch dreams bear the fruits of love, its means "Deaf

Our Vision
MCCSDHH stands for 'Mid-south Community Center Service for the Deaf and
Hard of Hearing' of Memphis. It is a new facility to service the needs of area
Deaf, Deaf-blind, deafened, and hard of hearing individuals in the
Mid-South area including west Tennessee, north Mississippi, and east
Arkansas.
Who does MCCSDHH serve?
Wherever you live in the Mid-south area including west Tennessee
area, North Mississippi area, or east Arkansas area, you are welcome at the
Mid-south
Community Center Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of
Memphis.
What will MCCSDHH provide?
1. Counseling Services
Mid-south Community Center Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
of Memphis
will provide a variety of counseling services including social, family,
educational, transitional, financial, psychological, and career
counseling at low cost or for free! And maybe add basketball field,
games, 2 pool table, circle sofas for chat, etc.. for Deaf and Hard of
Hearing enjoy.
Need help finding a job?
Come to MCCSDHH! We will be glad to help with Deaf and Hard of
Hearing who needs to find a job for them.
Need counseling for an addiction problem?
Come to MCCSDHH! We will have a counseling to help with your problems
in your family or friends.
Need help transitioning to independent living as a deaf person?
Come to MCCSDHH! We will be glad to help with them.
2. Needs a meeting to find a place?
Mid-south Community Center Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
of Memphis
will also be a place for outreach programs, classes, activities, and
events.
No more searching to find a place for your organization’s
monthly meetings! Imagine having deaf seniors bingo and other
activities! And what about finally having a place to take your deaf
child to an after school enrichment class to learn art or a place to
take your hearing child to learn ASL?
Many classes and activities for all ages will be offered at lost cost
or free. More details to come.
3. Information. Referral, & Advocacy
Mid-south Community Center Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
of Memphis
will also be a place for anyone seeking information regarding services
for deaf, deaf-blind, deafened, or hard-of-hearing; Memphis Community
Center Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will provide information
regarding legislation requiring equal access to services as well as
referrals to where equipment is available.
4. Video Phone (VP)
Mid-south Community Center Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
of Memphis
will provide a small private room for your necessary conversations.
5. ASL/Deaf Novelty Store
Mid-south Community Center Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
of Memphis
will offer ASL and Deaf novelty items such as T-shirts, note pads, and
coffee mugs with the MCCSDHH logo at reasonable prices.
6. Newsletter
Mid-south Community Center Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
of Memphis
will provide a newsletter to keep you up-to-date with the latest
information you need! We also to send in the mail of the letter about
news from MCCSDHH and MDC! (MDC - Memphis Deaf Community.).
What will MCCSDHH not provide?
7. Interpreting Services
Mid-south Community Center Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
of Memphis
will not provide interpreting services. You will still need to go
through the Deaf Connect office to set up interpreting services.
8. Memberships
You do not need to be a member to enjoy the services provided by
Mid-South Community Center Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of
Memphis.
9. A Board of Directors and By-Laws
Mid-south Community Center Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
of Memphis will soon be an IRS recognized non-profit organization. It is
dedicated to serving the needs of the Deaf, Deaf-blind, deafened, and
hard
of hearing individuals in the Midsouth area including west Tennessee,
north
Mississippi, and east Arkansas.
10. Working for MCCSDHH
Mid-south Community Center Service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
of Memphis
needs two kinds of workers: volunteers and employees.
1. Volunteers
Several volunteers are needed for the many activities and programs
offered at the Mid-south Community Center Service for the Deaf and Hard of
Hearing of Memphis. Volunteers will be in charge of setup, clean-up and supervising
the activities and programs offered. More details to come.
2. Employees
Employees will be hired to work at
Mid-south Community Center Service
for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of Memphis as counselors, printers and layout
technicians, newsletter writers, receptionists, billing clerks, facility
interpreter, and other positions as they become available and needed.
